Giving Back Is Dead: Mario Cader-French

Scott Stover talks with cultural strategist Mario Cader-French, a social impact pioneer whose innovations in utilization of the CSR Media Business Model provided the groundbreaking foundation for award-winning campaigns for media companies and non-profits. The model is centered around strategy, communications, content development and distribution and has been employed by MTV, Nickelodeon, VH1, Comedy Central, Paramount, and Telefe, as well as on behalf of Unicef, Inter-American Development Bank, and World Bank. By changing the way audiences engage, understand, think, and act around social issues with measurable value across media platforms, Mario was able to strengthen stakeholder engagement in support of social issues ranging from HIV, Gender Equity, and Violence, to Youth Entrepreneurship and the Environment. He is also on committees at MoMA NY, Reina Sofia Museum, and Art Basel

In the podcast, Mario shares insights gained and strategies implemented for his three current projects: developing the first Religious Literacy training program for media executives while studying at Harvard Divinity School; acting as a principal at KC Social Impact Lab in Washington, DC, consulting for clients such as UNICEF (LatAm), Concacaf, OneSight (Luxotica), Nayaka (Uganda); and running Y.ES Contemporary Art program, the disruptive arts initiative in his native country of El Salvador that is bringing international attention to the contemporary arts scene.
