Giving Back is Dead: Tom McLeod

Scott Stover talks with the cofounder of Arkive, Tom McLeod ahead of Art Basel Miami 2022. They discuss the downfall of FTX and the crypto markets while also exploring how blockchain technology can still be utilized to help arts philanthropy and artists. Arkive is building the world's first decentralized physical museum and will be unveiling the culmination of their first year of acquisitions at the VIP booth during Basel Miami. This historic moment is both a coming out party to the art world and possibly the only time all their objects will be shown together. After Miami, each of the objects will be lent to different institutions and organizations around the world which is the way their decenatralized museum model is structured. We also get to reflect back on Basel's first fair in Paris and the special dinner Giving Back is Dead hosted with Arkive at Offscreen.
